Fund Choices

You have the option to direct your gift to a fund set aside for a specific purpose.

Unrestricted Fund

Supports projects of special importance to Brewster Place.

Benevolent Care Fund

Brewster Foundation’s Benevolent Care Fund is a promise that is central to the Brewster Mission. Support of this fund enables residents who outlive their financial resources, through no fault of their own, to remain at Brewster Place.

Gifts to the Brewster Foundation for benevolent care are very important to your friends and neighbors. Brewster is a not-for-profit corporation that does not receive state or federal housing subsidies. Any excess revenue over expenses is used to update facilities and services. When benevolent care needs must be met through operational revenue, this reduces the amount available to improve the community in general.

“As mom’s health deteriorated the attendants played her favorite music and blended her food so she could still enjoy good tasting meals.  When the end was near, it was comforting to stay with her in her familiar room, with staff there easing her pain.” –Family member of resident, D.R.

Maxine Gibbs Celebration of Life Fund

Provides for extra care and comfort at the end of life for residents and their families.

Chaplaincy Fund

Provides financial assistance for our full-time chaplaincy program.

Employee Assistance and Support Fund

This program provides emergency interest-free loans and grants to staff in need. An unexpected car repair or some other financial crisis doesn’t have to be faced alone. Brewster employees can apply for a loan, which can be paid back over a six month period, interest-free through payroll deduction.

An employee shared, “The Brewster Foundation always comes through to help employees facing a financial crisis.  My family had an unexpected mishap and we weren’t sure what we were going to do. My supervisor suggested I go to the Foundation.  I was able to apply for a loan and pay it back through payroll deduction. We were so thankful for their help! Brewster really is a great place to work!”
